Victoria seldom has any
snowfall during the winter months, so it's nice to
jump in the car for what is just a short drive from Victoria and enjoy
a
little snow and if cold enough some ice skating.
The lake is spring-fed with an easy
hiking trail that winds around the lake
for more than 2 kilometers, much of which is wheelchair accessible.
Fish for Eastern brook
trout and Cutthroat trout, or enjoy swimming
in this clean warm spring-fed lake during the summer months.
Spectacle Lake Provincial Park is
located 30 km north of Victoria
just off Highway 1, on southern Vancouver Island.
