The Lochside Regional Trail is another old railway line which has been
converted into a recreational trail from Sidney to Victoria where it joins
with the Galloping Goose Regional Trail. Creating a trail system
which extends from Swartz Bay at the northern tip of the Saanich Pennisla,
to the Sooke Basin on the south western coast of Vancouver Island.

The Lochside trail passes through farmland, beaches and wetlands
such as the Swan Lake Nature Sanctuary.
